Nick Jonas is taking his acting career to the next level by taking the leading part in a hazing drama movie entitled Goat. He also proved himself by snagging more roles in upcoming movies such as Jumanji and Be Careful What You Wish For.
The 24-year-old started his singing career with the Jonas Brothers. He later placed himself as a solo recording artist with hit songs such as Jealous and Chains. Recently, however, he has spent more time performing as an actor than as a singer.
And now, everyone will get to see Nick Jonas playing the lead in his new movie Goat. According to ENews, the dark college drama will premiere on Tuesday.
In the movie, Jonas will play as a member of a fraternity where he will have to act as drunk in most of the scenes.
“It depends on the scenario and the scene [but] they’ve got these good eye drops that kind of help make you look a little drunk,” Jonas explained.
Nick Jonas snags role in Jumanji!
The singer-turned-actor also revealed that he will take part in an upcoming movie Jumanji. Despite his busy schedule, he is bound to take off for Hawaii for filming. He, however, did not reveal much about his role. He teased by saying he plays “an important character that helps the rest of the team kind of go about their journey in this game.”
“I actually take off tomorrow morning for Hawaii, I’m going to do Jumanji, which should be a good time,” Jonas said. “[It has a] very different tone to this movie. So I want to keep doing things like that, keep popping up in different roles and surprising people,” he said.
According to a report by Moviepilot, Nick Jonas will actually replace Tom Holland who has already signed up for Spiderman. Thus, in Jumanji, he will play a supporting role alongside big names such as ‘The Rock’ Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan. So, it looks like he fits right in with the big-time actors.
